At the age of 15 joined the British Army 1966 joined the Lancastrian Brigade at Fulwood Barracks Preston for 2 years 1968 was a great experience at Kneller Hall the military School Of Music, then after a year studying Flute & Piccolo under professor of flute shipped out to Germany Minden BFPO 29 for 2 years.
Returned to England for a year at Kirkham Barracks and then out to Hong Kong for 2 years.
1974 November came out of the Army into civilian street and formed a duo Hetherington & James Duo working up and down the country in clubs & pubs.
The duo split up and I became Bryan Hetherington I spent 3 years at summer shows at The Derbyshire Miners Holiday Village Skegness.
